What is a Speed Test?

Broadband speed is measured in kilobits per second (Kbps). Download speed is the speed that information on the Internet, such as text and graphics, is transferred to your computer and will affect how long it takes your computer to load websites and download files. Upload speed is the speed at which your computer can transfer information to the Internet.

Our broadband speed test will give you a figure in Kbps for both download and upload speeds. Download speed is generally quicker. To get accurate results, do not use your broadband connection for any other applications while the test is running.
